The Faustman Ranch All-Around Horse & Cowboy (Girl) Show Series is designed to identify the Miami Valley’s most versatile horse and rider teams and reward them for their skills.
Challenging classes such as a trail, extreme trail, pattern work, ground work, roping (Moo Moo), horsemanship, western riding, reigning and more will be offered during our summer series.
All challenges will have age and skill appropriate task. For example—Roping: each contestant will be given three tries; the lead line and walk-trot divisions may rope our plastic cow (Moo Moo) from the ground, 13 and under may sit the horse and rope without Moo Moo moving, 14-18 may include Moo Moo moving at a slow speed and 19 and over may include Moo Moo moving at a reasonable rate. Scoring will be on: coiling the rope, making the loop, throwing the loop and roping Moo Moo.
There will be four levels of competition:
- Lead Line (Lead on ground or by horse) (everyone wins) - Walk-Trot - 13 and Under - 14 thru 18 - 19 and Over
Points will be given in addition to both challenge and division awards. Points may qualify participants for year-end awards!!!!
